Frequently Asked Questions

  • At LiftWell, determining the appropriate level of care is a collaborative process guided by clinical expertise and best-practice standards. Our admissions team conducts a comprehensive assessment that evaluates your symptoms, treatment history, and current challenges, ensuring a thorough understanding of your needs. We consider clinical guidelines, such as those set by the American Psychiatric Association (APA), and incorporate input from your outpatient providers when available. Factors such as the severity of your condition, your current support system, and logistical considerations are all taken into account. Through this process, we provide a professional recommendation that aligns with your recovery goals and capacity for participation, allowing you to enter the most appropriate and effective level of care with confidence.

  • At LiftWell, we understand that navigating insurance can feel overwhelming, and we’re here to help make the process as smooth as possible. While we are currently an out-of-network provider, our team is actively working on becoming a preferred provider for multiple insurance companies.

In the meantime, we offer several ways to support our clients in accessing care:

Courtesy Billing: Our team will bill your insurance directly on your behalf, saving you the hassle of submitting claims yourself.

Superbills: If you prefer to handle submissions, we will provide you with a detailed superbill, making it easy for you to request reimbursement from your insurance provider.

Single-Case Agreements: Whenever possible, we work with insurance companies to secure single-case agreements, ensuring that your treatment costs may still be covered, even out of network.

We encourage you to contact us for assistance with verifying your benefits or to discuss financial options. At LiftWell, we are committed to helping you access the care you need without unnecessary stress or confusion.

  • At LiftWell, your weekly schedule is designed to provide comprehensive support through a balanced mix of individual therapy, group sessions, and specialized programming. PHP clients receive two individual therapy sessions per week, along with family/support system sessions, dietary counseling, and ongoing support from a dedicated Recovery Mentor. IOP clients receive individual therapy and family sessions tailored to their level of care. Group programming includes evidence-based therapies such as RO-DBT, CBT, and ACT, as well as experiential offerings like nutrition education, mindfulness practices, and expressive therapies. Our dual-diagnosis approach ensures that co-occurring conditions such as mood and anxiety disorders are addressed alongside your primary concerns, creating a truly integrated treatment experience.

  • Yes, maintaining academic progress is a priority at LiftWell. We understand the importance of balancing treatment with school responsibilities, and our programs include designated educational blocks throughout the week to support students in staying on track. Whether you’re an adolescent managing school coursework or a young adult balancing college or professional studies, our structured approach allows you to remain engaged in your education without compromising your mental health. We also collaborate with schools when needed to facilitate accommodations, ensuring a seamless transition between academics and treatment.

  • Supporting a loved one through treatment can be challenging, and at LiftWell, we believe recovery is most successful when loved ones are involved in meaningful ways. Our specialized family systems-based approach offers support through weekly family therapy sessions, caregiver education, and coaching designed to equip you with the skills needed to foster a supportive home environment. We help families understand the complexities of recovery, address communication patterns, and navigate challenges with empathy and understanding. Through group support and tailored guidance, we empower loved ones to provide encouragement without overstepping, ensuring that recovery is sustainable both in and outside of treatment.

  • Nutrition is a critical component of both mental health and eating disorder recovery. At LiftWell, we take an individualized approach to nutritional care, offering kosher, vegetarian, and vegan dietary options to align with clients’ cultural, ethical, and personal preferences. Our team of registered dietitians works closely with each client to develop meal plans that support their physical and emotional well-being while addressing any food-related anxieties or medical concerns. Whether nutrition plays a central role in your treatment or serves as a supporting element of your overall care, our small-milieu setting allows us to provide personalized meal support, meal exposures, and guided discussions around food choices. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment where clients can rebuild trust with food and cultivate a nourishing and flexible relationship that supports their overall well-being.

  • At LiftWell, we prioritize clear and consistent communication with referring professionals to ensure seamless coordination of care. With signed consent, our team collaborates with you from the initial inquiry through the admission process, gathering relevant clinical information such as treatment history, progress in outpatient settings, and any medical or psychological records that can inform treatment planning. Once treatment begins, you can expect regular updates from our clinical team, typically provided on a weekly basis, to discuss your client’s progress, ongoing needs, and any adjustments to their treatment plan. We believe in fostering strong partnerships with referring providers to create continuity of care and optimize treatment outcomes. Our goal is to keep you informed and involved while respecting client confidentiality and autonomy.
